Amazon Braket now supports PennyLane, an open source software framework for hybrid quantum computing. Pennylane provides interfaces to common machine learning libraries, including PyTorch and TensorFlow, so you can train quantum circuits in the same way you would train a neural network. The integration with Amazon Braket allows you to test and fine-tune algorithms faster and at a larger scale on scalable and fully managed simulators and run them on your choice of quantum computing hardware. Amazon CodeGuru Profiler now profiles your application’s memory, giving you a consolidated view of the heap. The heap summary shows all objects allocated on the heap during a given time frame. For each object (e.g. String, int, char[], custom types, etc.) you can see a summed-up size and number of objects. AWS Transit Gateway now supports the ability to establish peering connections between AWS Transit Gateways in Middle East (Bahrain), Africa (Cape Town), Asia Pacific (Hong Kong), and Europe(Milan) AWS Regions. AWS Transit Gateway is a service that enables customers to connect thousands of Amazon Virtual Private Clouds (Amazon VPCs) and their on-premises networks using a single gateway. With this new feature, replica modification sync, you can easily replicate metadata changes like object access control lists (ACLs), object tags, or object locks on the replicated objects. Every Amplify app backend is now automatically set up with the admin UI which can be used to model data, add authentication and authorization, and manage app content, users, and groups. AWS Lambda reduced the billing granularity for Lambda function duration from 100ms down to 1ms. This will lower the price for most Lambda functions, more so for short duration functions. Their compute duration will be billed in 1ms increments instead of being rounded up to the nearest 100 ms increment per invoke. For example, a function that runs in 30ms on average used to be billed for 100ms. Now, it will be billed for 30ms resulting in a 70% drop in its duration spend. View the full article
