weaveworks
T-20 days until KubeCon EU 2021 - who is counting with us? We are super excited to kick it off with a Day 0 event (on Monday, May 3 at 15:00 UTC) #GitOpsCon with the GitOps Working Group and our friends at RedHat. Here is a quick preview of what we have planned: GitOps Con Europe is designed to foster collaboration, discussion and knowledge sharing on GitOps. This event is aimed at audiences that are new to GitOps as well as those currently using GitOps within their organization. Get connected with others that are passionate about GitOps. Learn from practitioners about pitfalls to avoid, hurdles to jump, and how to adopt GitOps in your cloud native environment. The event is vendor neutral and is being organized by the CNCF GitOps Working Group. Topics include getting started with GitOps, scaling and managing GitOps, lessons learned from production deployments, technical sessions and thought leadership. If you want to join, simply add this event to your existing registration or during your sign up process. And if you have a great talk idea, the call for proposals is open until April 16, 2020 - our audience will be engineers, product owners, software developers and others interested in the GitOps model for delivering cloud-native solutions. Must see Kubecon talks and panel discussions But there is more… Many of our colleagues here at Weaveworks are hosting talk sessions and are active community contributors - here is a quick overview of the week: Tuesday, May 4 10:00 CEST AWS & WeaveWorks - Enable Hybrid Cloud Kubernetes with GitOps, EKS, and EKS-D Wednesday, May 5 13:10 CEST Helm Users! Booth demos: We’ll be showcasing the following Kubernetes tools and products at our booth: Weave Kubernetes Platform The Weave Kubernetes Platform is our production-ready platform with GitOps as the underlying architecture and developer experience. It simplifies the configuration and management of Kubernetes platforms across your organization by allowing platform teams to deploy and manage 100’s of clusters wherever they are needed: on premise, in the cloud or at the edge. Ask us to show you a demo of application portability across environments with workspaces and multi cluster observability. GitOps - Office Hours If you could ask an experienced GitOps practitioner anything, what would it be? Now’s your chance. Two of our experienced Reliability Engineers and Solution Architects are taking your questions during an exclusive Ask-Me-Anything. Whether you’re interested in best practices for getting started with GitOps migrating apps to Kubernetes or you’re curious about our predictions about the future of cloud native operational frameworks, we have the answers to deepen your understanding and help navigate your Kubernetes and cloud native journey. Progressive Delivery with GitOps and Flagger Flagger is a progressive delivery operator for Kubernetes that automates the traffic for advanced deployments like canaries and A/B testing. Since Flagger manages the traffic routing between canary deployments, the risk of app downtime is reduced or completely eliminated. This allows your team to confidently test and rollout innovative new features more frequently. Discover how to build fully automated GitOps pipelines for canary deployments with Flagger. The Business Value of Helm and GitOps Helm - The Kubernetes package manager, has many benefits, including team velocity, decreased downtime, and reliability. Bringing GitOps approaches to Helm further enhances the business value with added benefits of reconciliation, improved reliability, observability, and auditability. Stop by our virtual Weaveworks booth, see a live demo of our products, get your GitOps questions answered and be on the lookout for a fun sweepstake! See you there!
