Amazon Web Services Posted April 24 Share Posted April 24 Between 9:39 AM and 1:20 PM PDT, we experienced increased API error rates and failures for new instance launches in a single Availability Zone (usgw1-az1) in the US-GOV-WEST-1 Region. During this time, EC2 and services that depend on EC2, such as EKS, ECS and Workspaces, saw elevated error rates for APIs that create, modify or terminate instances in the affected Availability Zone. Running instances in the affected Availability Zone and APIs that targeted the unaffected Availability Zones were not impacted throughout the course of this event.
