You write some code on your machine, do some clicks in the Azure portal, or run some Azure CLI commands from your terminal and that's it: your application is up and running in Azure. Yet, that's not real life, at least not what you will do when working on a professional project. Your code needs to be versioned and pushed to a location where your colleagues can work on it.
