weaveworks
Microsoft recently announced that Kubernetes Apps is now available in the Azure Marketplace. One of those available ‘apps’ is Weave GitOps Enterprise, a full-stack GitOps platform that automates trusted application delivery and secure infrastructure operations. Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) is a managed Kubernetes platform for organizations running their applications on Azure. With Kubernetes Apps, teams can enhance their AKS deployments by accessing a diverse ecosystem of tested and transactable third-party solutions from leading partners and popular open-source offerings. In addition to Weaveworks, some of the other partners include Isovalent, Cast AI, Portworx, CloudCasa, and many others. "We are excited to bring the automation and scale of Weave GitOps to the Azure Marketplace. With one click, AKS can strengthen resilience, ease of scale, cluster management, and application pipeline support with the market-leading GitOps solution built on FluxCD. Weave GitOps customers build internal developer platforms on AKS, bridge hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructure, as well as leverage simpler operations of applications with secure CI/CD pipelines in the cloud, on-premise or at the edge." - Mike Kress, VP of Business Development and Alliances. This latest partnership is part of our Weaveworks ongoing effort to support and deliver GitOps capabilities on all major cloud providers. We’ve recently released VS Code Extension on the Azure Marketplace and have been an integral part of Azure Kubernetes Service since 2021 - more on that below. This integration brings numerous benefits to customers, including a simplified supply chain with vetted security, integrated billing, and seamless one-click deployment to AKS. All of which makes it easier to develop cutting-edge solutions. Kubernetes Apps empowers users to drive business efficiency through one-click deployments and CI/CD automation, and reduces management and operational overhead with streamlined enterprise support and automated lifecycle management. It also utilizes secure and certified solutions that undergo rigorous vulnerability scans, and simplifies billing and consumption with flexible options and the ability to apply Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment (MACC) to third-party solutions.
Figure: Kubernetes Apps on Azure Marketplace - Source

View the full article
