Amazon Web Services Posted August 22, 2022 Share Posted August 22, 2022 Starting today, you have the option to automatically set up connectivity from Amazon Relational Database Services (Amazon RDS) and Amazon Aurora databases to an Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) compute instance during database creation. When provisioning a database using the Amazon RDS console, you now have the option to select an EC2 instance and with a single click establish connectivity between the database and the EC2 instance, following AWS recommended best practices. Amazon RDS automatically sets up your VPC and related network settings during database creation to enable a secure connection between the EC2 instance and the RDS database.
