Abertay University in Scotland opens new cybersecurity centre

Recommended Posts

A new cybersecurity research center has been recently opened at Abertay University in Dundee, Scotland.

Indeed, the center will be the first of its kind in Scotland and will be accessible to businesses, academics, and students. The hub received £18m from the university and the UK and Scottish governments through the Tay Cities Region Deal.

Students in the ethical hacking, computing, and cyber-security programmes will have the opportunity to learn directly from industry professionals. This will give them the knowledge needed to tackle the growing cyberattacks and online threats.

The cyber center reinforces the University’s place in research and expertise on cyber security as well as provides new opportunities to continue to deliver economic transformation.
