Indeed, the group is said to have experienced a cyber incident that affected their email system in December 2021. As a result, many of their patients and contacts received emails claiming to be from Guernsey’s Medical Specialist Group (GMSG). In order to deal with this, an investigation has been launched to determine who is behind the incident and to prevent any further attacks. It was also reported that the group’s emails were re-secured and that cybersecurity and data protection were immediately put into place.
