Event details

CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code on AWSDevOps is the combination of cultural philosophies, practices, and tools that increases an organization’s ability to deliver software applications and services at high velocity: evolving and improving products at a faster pace than with traditional software development and infrastructure management processes.

DevOps engineers and teams use Software Engineering practices - infrastructure as code, and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) - to automate processes that historically have been manual and slow. They use a technology stack and tooling which help them operate and evolve applications quickly and reliably. These tools also help engineers independently accomplish tasks (for example, deploying code or provisioning infrastructure) that normally would have required help from other teams, and this further increases a team’s velocity.

Join us from 9:30am to 4:30pm on the 8th of November 2023 at IDEALondon in a full day workshop provided by the Centre for Digital Innovation powered by AWS and get hands-on DevOps experience in the Cloud, using the infrastructure-as-code (AWS CDK) as well as AWS tools to support CI/CD processes to deploy your application.

PLEASE NOTE PRE-REQUISITES

  • Experience with using AWS is recommended but not essential
  • An appreciation for well-built computer systems and applications is highly recommended
  • Familiarity with a scripting language such as Python is recommended
  • Please bring your laptop - it will be required for hands-on practice
