AWS Posted September 19, 2022 Share Posted September 19, 2022 Amazon Simple Notification Service (Amazon SNS) now supports message signature based on SHA256 hashing, which provides security improvements over SHA1. To choose the hashing algorithm, either SHA256 or SHA1, you can use the SetTopicAttributes API action. Amazon SNS signs the messages delivered from your topic, so that the subscribed HTTP endpoints can verify the authenticity of the messages.
