The Chief I/O Posted January 11, 2021 Share Posted January 11, 2021 A research group at the Umeå University stored sensitive personal information in the cloud without any sufficient security measures, which resulted in the university being fined SEK550,000 (or $66,000). The fine has been levied for violating the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
