  1. AWS announces the general availability of Amazon EC2 R6a instances. Designed for memory-intensive workloads, R6a instances are built on the AWS Nitro System, which delivers almost all the compute and memory resources of the host hardware to your instances. R6a instances are powered by third-generation AMD EPYC processors with an all-core turbo frequency of up to 3.6 GHz. These memory-optimized instances, which are SAP certified, deliver up to 35% better compute price performance compared to R5a instances for a wide variety of workloads and offer 10% lower cost than comparable x86-based EC2 instances. 2. Today, Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced the general availability of two new security and compatibility features, NitroTPM, a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0 and Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) Secure Boot in Amazon EC2. These features make it possible for customers to use TPM-dependent applications in their EC2 instances. View the full article
  3. ACM for Nitro Enclaves is an enclave application that allows you to use public and private SSL/TLS certificates with your web applications and servers running on Amazon EC2 instances with AWS Nitro Enclaves. SSL/TLS certificates are used to secure network communications and establish the identity of websites over the Internet as well as resources on private networks. Nitro Enclaves is an EC2 capability that enables creation of isolated compute environments to protect and securely process highly sensitive data, such as SSL/TLS private keys. View the full article
  4. AWS Nitro Enclaves is a new EC2 capability that enables customers to create isolated compute environments (enclaves) to further protect and securely process highly sensitive data such as personally identifiable information (PII), healthcare, financial, and intellectual property data within their Amazon EC2 instances. Nitro Enclaves helps customers reduce the attack surface area for their most sensitive data processing applications. View the full article
